Colleen is a member of Bell Gully’s market-leading banking and finance team where she advises domestic and international banking and capital market participants on structured finance transactions and derivatives. Colleen has experience advising on a range of asset-backed structures (such as warehouse financing, public securitisations and covered bonds) and asset classes (including FX, rates, credit and commodities).

Prior to joining Bell Gully in 2025, Colleen worked at international law firm Simmons & Simmons in Singapore and London. Colleen also has in-house experience, having worked in a couple of global banks.

Work highlights

Prior to joining Bell Gully in 2025:

Structured finance (including securitisation)
Advised arrangers of various asset repackaging programmes established in various jurisdictions, including the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg.

Advised a global bank in its capacity as an arranger and lead manager in the issuance of US$1.45 billion notes secured by trade finance exposures. 

Advised Standard Chartered Bank in the establishment of its US$5 billion covered bond programme.

Advised a non-bank financial services company to provide supply chain financing and other structured finance to companies, including advising them on the repacking of receivables into notes issued off its USD 20 billion secured note programme and sold to institutional investors.

Derivatives
Advised a hedge provider on a hedging transaction in respect of a public securitisation of monetary receivables and connected rights arising out of consumer loan agreements.

Advised financial institutions in their efforts to comply with the Phase 6 uncleared margin rules regulation.
