New Zealand’s declaration of a State of National Emergency and formal Epidemic Preparedness Notice has activated a range of dormant provisions in the Immigration Act 2009. The reactivated provisions include the extension of existing temporary entry class visas and give judges the ability to deal with immigration matters without requiring attendance.
