Delivering New Zealand's nationally critical projects

Ways to ensure delivery of nationally important major projects have been on the agenda at today's environmental and resource management conference in Auckland.

The impact of resource management reform and lessons from overseas and local projects were examined at a session dedicated to infrastructure at the Environmental Defence Society's Reform in Paradise: Threat or opportunity? conference this morning.

Bell Gully resource management specialist, partner Andrew Beatson, provided an overview on how the reforms will work in practice for progressing projects of national significance, including the use of the government call-in process as an alternative to the usual Resource Management Act framework.
