Bell Gully partner Jonathan Ross and senior associate Colleen Cavanagh presented a session on protecting and managing intellectual property at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's New Zealand, New Thinking breakfast and workshop, held in Auckland on 1 August.
Their presentation looks at the IP environment in China and India, China's trade mark registration processes, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty, which allows for a single patent application to be made for a large number of countries. It looks at case studies and provides practical tips to consider when applying for patents or trade marks.
