Bell Gully finalist nine times in 2008 Australasian legal awards
Bell Gully has been named as a finalist across eight categories in the 2008 ALB Australasian Law Awards.
The awards aim to recognise the leading transactions, firms and lawyers in Australia and New Zealand in 2007.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Sydney on 22 May.
Bell Gully is a finalist in the following categories:
New Zealand Deal of the Year: Fletcher Building-Formica Group acquisition (Lead partners: Brynn Gilbertson, Jayne Kirton); Ironbridge-MediaWorks acquisition (Lead partners: James Gibson, David Flacks, Glenn Joblin, David McPherson).
New Zealand Deal Team of the Year: Corporate/M&A
New Zealand Dealmaker of the Year: Brynn Gilbertson
Managing Partner of the Year: Stephen Macliver
CSR Law Firm of the Year
Commercial Property and Construction Deal of the Year: Auckland waterfront redevelopment (Lead partners: Garry Downs, Andrew Petersen).
Energy and Resources Deal of the Year: NZ wind farm – EU acquisition (Lead partner: Simon Watt).
M&A Deal of the Year: Suncorp-Promina merger (Lead partner: Garry Downs).
A number of leading New Zealand and Australian in-house counsel and legal teams, with whom Bell Gully work, are also among the finalists.
