Bell Gully competition specialists contribute international chapter

Bell Gully has authored a chapter on New Zealand's Commerce Commission in a publication outlining many of the world's different competition enforcement agencies.

In The Handbook of Competition Enforcement Agencies 2008, produced by Global Competition Review, partner and competition practice leader Phil Taylor and senior associate Torrin Crowther, explain how New Zealand's competition laws are found in the Commerce Act 1986 and the Commerce Commission's role as the statutory body responsible for administering the Act.

They outline the structure of the Commerce Commission, its relationship with the Government, and its approach to regulating mergers and anti-competitive practices.
