Finalists named for this year's Hi-Tech Awards

Judges have named 32 finalists for the PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards 2007.

The shortlist, announced in Wellington last night, shows the growing depth and breadth of New Zealand's technology sector, organisers say.

The Hi-Tech Awards, launched 14 years ago, recognise the country's leading innovators and significant contributors across a range of keenly-contested categories.

Local and international judges, including a representative of Bell Gully, sponsor of the Flying Kiwi Award, are now working on deciding the winners who will be announced at the awards gala dinner on 3 November at Wellington's Town Hall.
