A report asking what it will take to lift New Zealand's information communications technology capacity to a world class standard has been unveiled.
A public briefing on the Connecting to our Digital Futures report was attended by the Hon. David Cunliffe, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, and hosted at Bell Gully in Auckland on Friday 14 September.
The report analyses the current state of New Zealand's information communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and makes recommendations for both industry and government to ensure New Zealand has the physical infrastructure required to meet its ICT goals.
The report was jointly commissioned by the NZ Council for Infrastructure Development and the HiGrowth Project. Bell Gully is a member of the Council for Infrastructure Development, the authority at the forefront of New Zealand's infrastructure debate, and also supports the work of the HiGrowth Project, a catalyst to facilitate ICT growth and development.
