Issues challenging women in the workforce were highlighted at a seminar yesterday featuring Ministry of Women's Affairs Chief Executive Shenagh Gleisner.
Speaking at a Property Institute of New Zealand function hosted by Bell Gully in Wellington, Ms Gleisner shared insights from her wide-ranging and distinguished career and the challenges of juggling her busy working days with a full family life, including seven children. Before joining Women's Affairs in 2004, Ms Gleisner held senior positions in the health sector, was Deputy Commissioner at the State Services Commission and was a director at KPMG.
Early this month Bell Gully also organised a joint function with the Corporate Lawyers Association of New Zealand (CLANZ) in Wellington which focused on how working parents were juggling their commitments.
