VIP (Very Important Peers) is Bell Gully's innovative networking programme designed to introduce essential business skills to young solicitors.
The programme was launched in Wellington in 2005 and, given its success, was soon adopted in the firm's Auckland office.
Its aim is to give young solicitors and their clients and business peers the opportunity to meet and begin networking earlier in their careers than may have been the case for their counterparts in years gone by.
A key element of the programme is that it is run largely by the solicitors themselves. A team in Wellington and Auckland oversees the event ideas and planning and then the successful hosting of guests. Successful events to date have included fashion shows and comedy nights.
The VIP programme has proven highly popular with guests and at times there has been a waiting list due to numbers being oversubscribed. It has also atttracted the attention of other companies who have adopted similar initiatives.
For more information about VIP please contact Anne-Marie Strickland (Wellington) or Ruth Doggett (Auckland).
