Bell Gully has been internationally recognised by respected global publication International Financial Law Review (IFLR) as the top New Zealand Law Firm for 2006.
It is the fourth year in a row and the fifth time in six years that Bell Gully has won the IFLR New Zealand Law Firm of the Year Award.
The annual IFLR awards recognise legal leaders in the international corporate and financial transaction sectors over the past year and evaluate the best law firms throughout the Asia Pacific region on a range of measures including peer and client recommendations.
The 2007 Asian Awards ceremony was held in Hong Kong in March and was attended by Bell Gully Chief Executive Stephen Macliver and Chairman David Simcock who received the award for achievements by the firm in 2006.
Bell Gully Chairman David Simcock says the awards are considered a benchmark of excellence in the international legal community.
"It's always an honour to receive such a prestigious award and to be recognised that Bell Gully leads the way when it comes to advising on significant and complex transactions. It is the talent of our people and our national and international clients that keep us at the top of the market. This award is a reflection of their combined efforts and ability to produce stand-out quality work each year."
Bell Gully Chief Executive Stephen Macliver says the awards are testament to the firm that the international legal community holds Bell Gully in such high regard. "This is a reflection of the quality of our people, the calibre of the work they undertake, and our priority focus on looking after the interests of our clients."
"Client satisfaction is a great measure of excellence and we are well aware that we need to consistently satisfy our clients’ needs in order to remain their established firm of choice and maintain the trust they have in us to deliver results. That said, we are proud to be recognised once again by the IFLR as the market leader in New Zealand."
