Bell Gully retains top finance law rankings

Bell Gully has retained its top rankings in the latest IFLR1000 Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms.

The firm is named in the top tier of recommended New Zealand firms in the practice areas of banking and financial services, capital markets, insolvency and restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. Bell Gully maintains the top tier rankings it has been awarded by IFLR1000 in previous years.

IFLR1000 is an international legal guide to top law firms advising on international corporate finance matters and its inclusion and ranking of firms and leading lawyers is based on research including interviews with private practice lawyers and in-house counsel in global business and finance centres.

Bell Gully chairman David Simcock says the firm is naturally delighted to retain its top tier rankings across all practice areas covered by IFLR1000.

"Receiving this independent recognition - particularly when it is based on feedback from our clients, as well as peers - is a reflection of the hard work put in by all of our people over the last 12 months.

"While IFLR1000 recognises a good number of our partners as leading lawyers in their field, they are the first to acknowledge they are part of a much wider team which works together consistently to achieve these results. It is the quality of our clients and their in-house counsel and management teams, who entrust us with good work, which enables us to win this recognition."
