Bell Gully has been named in the top tier of New Zealand's tax advisers for the third consecutive year by World Tax.
World Tax 2007 assigns Bell Gully the top ranking in New Zealand, alongside accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. Both firms shared the same leading position last year.
World Tax is published annually by London-based Euromoney's International Tax Review as a guide to the world's leading tax firms.
The 2007 guide comments that some of the more pressing items on the New Zealand tax agenda are the reduction of the corporate income tax rate, increasing economic integration with Australia and measures to encourage foreign investment. "The sophistication of the country's tax community, despite the country's size is impressive," says World Tax.
The edition mentions the work of Bell Gully tax partners David Simcock (firm chairman), Niels Campbell, Joanne Hodge and Willy Sussman.
