New senior associate appointment at Bell Gully
Leading law firm Bell Gully has appointed Andrew Abernethy as a senior associate in its Corporate/Commercial department, based in Wellington.
An LLB (Hons) graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, Andrew completed an LLM at the University of Chicago before spending six years in the New York office of Shearman & Sterling, focussing on public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and structured finance.
Andrew specialises in international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, particularly cross-border transactions.
