Bell Gully has the edge as New Zealand's leading commercial law firm

Bell Gully is New Zealand's leading law firm, according to a newly published guide to the leading commercial firms in Asia Pacific.

In its analysis of New Zealand's legal market, The Asia Pacific Legal 500 2002/2003 said that clients and rivals alike feel that Bell Gully has the edge among the country's top law firms.

The guide ranked Bell Gully as "top tier" in 12 industry areas, more top-tier rankings than any other law firm.

The Asia Pacific Legal 500 also ranks 18 of Bell Gully's lawyers as "leading individuals" in their field - again, more than any other law firm in New Zealand.

"We're extremely pleased with this result, and in particular the number of Bell Gully lawyers now recognised as leaders in their field," says Bell Gully Chairman Matthew Cockram.

"Bell Gully's success depends on the quality of its people and this guide recognises our growing breadth of expertise.

"However, we won't be resting on our laurels. Rankings disappear quickly if you don't continue to deliver outstanding service to your clients - and that will be our focus over the coming year."
