"Bell Gully's corporate team had an especially strong year. Of particular significance were the major restructuring projects we undertook involving some of New Zealand's oldest and most respected companies - including Fletcher Challenge, Fisher & Paykel and Air New Zealand.

In addition, we also advised on the two most high profile M&A transactions in New Zealand in the last year: as solicitors to Montana in the highly contested takeover battle for that company and the various stages of Edison Mission's acquisition of Contact Energy.

We are proud of the major role we have played in assisting our clients complete these significant transactions."
