New Zealand's leading law firm 2001

A recently published guide to Asia Pacific's commercial law firms ranks Bell Gully as New Zealand's leading law firm.

Asia Pacific Legal 500, 2001/2002 edition is published by Legalease, an independent British publisher of information for law firms and their clients. Legal 500 is regarded as probably the world's leading legal directory.

In 12 out of 17 practice areas Bell Gully featured in the top tier. Bell Gully beat off nearest competitors Chapman Tripp and Russell McVeagh.

Bell Gully ranked highest in corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, capital markets, project finance, commercial property, resource management, energy and natural resources, telecommunications, IT and e-commerce, tax, insurance and dispute resolution.

The firm ranked second in four out of the five remaining practice areas surveyed.

According to the guide, clients described Bell Gully as "New Zealand's legal aristocracy".
