Seminar explains how to avoid IT contract nightmares

Participants at the latest Bell Gully-CLANZ workshops on 29 and 30 July are now full equipped to tackle IT contracts - without the nightmares.

The workshops were the second in the series Dealing with Day-to-Day Issues and were presented by Bell Gully partners Simon Martin, Malcolm Webb and Stephen Revill and senior associate Jeremy Salmond at Bell Gully's offices in Wellington and Auckland.

During the evening, the team pointed out the usual pitfalls encountered in IT contracts and explained the key issues in preparing for the contract, setting the right levels of limitation of liability, ownership of intellectual property and managing change control.

If you missed the seminar, you can download the presentation materials.

The next workshop is scheduled for September and will explain the techniques for Handling a Commerce Commission investigation. More details to follow.
