Maria Berryman

Maria is a specialist in all areas of employment law.

She is experienced in both contentious and non-contentious matters and regularly advises on employment aspects of commercial transactions including restructures and the sale and purchase of businesses, dismissals, restraint of trade and confidential information disputes and breach of contract issues.

Before joining Bell Gully in 2007, Maria practised law at another large New Zealand law firm and has also worked in the United States, practising in construction and insurance litigation.

Maria is a member of the Wellington District Law Society Employment Law Committee and a board member of the Employment Law Institute, is a conference speaker and regularly conducts seminars for clients and industry organisations.
