Lucy is a commercial lawyer with particular expertise advising on construction, procurement, and mergers and acquisitions.

Her practice involves a significant degree of focus on assisting clients in the New Zealand large scale construction industry and advising public sector entities on procurement.

In the public sector, Lucy's work has included advising clients such as the Ministry of Defence on tender processes and drafting tender documents, and drafting, negotiating and advising on the implementation of procurement contracts.

Lucy's work in the construction area includes advising on contracts for the construction of power stations, and drafting and negotiating construction contracts for other industrial projects. Lucy has also been extensively involved in the drafting and negotiation of geothermal drilling contracts, and associated ancillary geothermal drilling services contracts.

She also has experience in company law and in the upstream petroleum industry, assisting New Zealand and international upstream petroleum companies with issues relating to joint venture arrangements, transmission arrangements and the petroleum permitting regime.
