Leigh is a banking and finance lawyer specialising in lending and debt capital market transactions.

Leigh acts on a variety of financing transactions including restructurings, refinancings and acquisition financings. She has also acted on various debt capital market transactions in New Zealand and London.

Leigh worked at Bell Gully, Auckland for four years and during this time was seconded to a major New Zealand bank. She then worked in the banking and finance team of leading London law firm Slaughter and May for three and a half years before returning to Bell Gully, Wellington in 2012.

ISS
Leigh advised ISS (one of the world's leading facilities services companies) on the successful extension of certain tranches of its DKK 25.5 billion Senior Facilities Agreement and amendments to those facilities which were aimed at increasing the operational flexibility of the ISS Group.

Greencore plc
She acted for Greencore plc on a proposed merger with Northern Foods plc. The merger was to be effected under the European cross-border merger regime and this was the first time that the Cross Border Merger Directive had been used for a merger under the UK City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.

INEOS
Leigh advised INEOS on their financing arrangements, including advising in connection with covenant resets, general refinancings, acquisition financings and the issuance of two separate secured high yield bonds.

Rank Group Limited
She acted as counsel for Rank Group Limited in connection with the funding and security arrangements for the acquisitions of SIG and Blue Ridge as well as the on-market acquisition of Burns, Philp & Company Limited and the IPO for Goodman Fielder Limited.

Fletcher Building Limited
Leigh advised Fletcher Building Limited in relation to their acquisition funding for Formica Corporation. Leigh also acted for Fletcher Building Limited in connection with the subsequent refinancing of their senior bank facility and a private placement of notes for US$300,000,000.

ANZ National Bank Limited
She acted for ANZ National Bank Limited in relation to three separate issues of redeemable preference share financing totalling NZ$315,000,000.
