Jenny specialises in competition law and commercial litigation, representing clients in Commerce Commission matters and advising clients on the effects of regulation on their business.
She has a successful practice advising on all aspects of competition law, including the application of merger control, obtaining merger clearances from the Commerce Commission and representing clients in Commerce Commission investigations and prosecutions.
Jenny also works with businesses affected by regulatory authorities, assisting with submissions on regulatory proposals, advising on the application of sector-specific regulation and advising on public law obligations.
She assists clients involved in commercial disputes, representing them in negotiations, mediations and judicial settlement conferences. Jenny appears for clients in a range of Court and arbitration proceedings, including judicial review and in matters involving competition law, Fair Trading Act, media law, companies law and in professional indemnity insurance disputes.
She has lectured in competition law at Victoria University of Wellington.
Jenny spent three years working in the competition and regulatory team at international law firm Norton Rose in London before rejoining Bell Gully in 2004.
