Josh specialises in property and resource management litigation.
Josh advises developers, investors, and financiers on contentious aspects of property developments and infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on environmental matters.
Josh has appeared before a variety of councils, courts, tribunals, mediators and arbitrators. His expertise includes advising on recovery issues associated with distressed developments, as well as acting on various civil claims including judicial review applications, civil fraud, shareholder and joint venture disputes, business and property valuations, and a variety of contractual disputes. He is adept at using case management software to achieve positive, predictable, and cost-effective outcomes for clients.
Prior to returning to New Zealand and to Bell Gully in 2004, Josh was an associate at Freshfields in London, advising the Bank of England on its successful defence of the claim against it by the liquidators of BCCI.
