Josh specialises in property and resource management litigation.
He advises local and international clients on all stages of commercial property developments, with an emphasis on contentious environmental and planning issues.
Josh has represented clients in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, appearing before numerous courts, tribunals, mediators and arbitrators. He has successfully resolved a range of contentious matters, including civil fraud claims, shareholder and joint venturer disputes, business and property valuation claims, and a variety of contractual disputes. He is adept at using case management software to achieve positive, predictable, and cost-effective outcomes for clients.
Prior to returning to New Zealand and to Bell Gully in 2004, Josh was an associate at Freshfields in London, advising the Bank of England on its successful defence of the claim against it by the liquidators of BCCI.
