He has acted on a range of acquisition financings, including the acquisition of MediaWorks by Ironbridge Capital, the acquisition of Tegel and Griffins by Pacific Equity Partners, and the acquisition of Burger King New Zealand by The Blackstone Group.
David has also acted for the borrower on the restructure of Yellow Pages Group and the restructure of MediaWorks, two of the largest debt restructures undertaken in the New Zealand market in recent years.
He also has specialist expertise in cross-border and domestic asset leasing, having acted on numerous leasing transactions including Japanese, German and US leveraged and operating lease structures, defeasance leasing transactions and export credit structures.
Chambers Asia Pacific 2013 recognises David as a leading lawyer in banking and finance and in restructuring and insolvency, noting that he is "an excellent lawyer" who has a "great track record and experience".
