On 5 July, the Electricity Commission issued its final decision approving Transpower's amended North Island Grid Upgrade Proposal for the supply of electricity into and north of Auckland. The final result is three Commissioners in favour of the proposal, one against, and one declining to be involved (due to his previous relationship with Transpower).
