The Bell Gully Mooting Competition 2008

Each year, the Bell Gully Mooting Competition enables students to research legal issues and to test and develop their skills in a courtroom setting.

To help the 2008 competitors, Bell Gully has put together a mooting manual, with tips on organising, competing, judging and timekeeping.

About the Bell Gully Mooting Competition

The competition is open to all law students. The winners of the competition at each university progress to the New Zealand final, held during the New Zealand Law Students' Association annual conference.

The champions represent New Zealand at the Australasian championships, usually in July.

Moot your way to Washington DC

The New Zealand champions compete against the world's best at the Philip C Jessup International Mooting Competition, held in Washington DC.

Support from Bell Gully

Bell Gully provides financial and practical assistance throughout the competition, providing judges and mooting problems and supporting the New Zealand champions to attend the Jessup Mooting Competition in the US.
